Yes, indeed! My virgin bike ride was dedicated to Farhan.
03 February 2009, Tuesday:
He got me to take over his shift at night as he had something to attend to. In exchange, he offered to do closing for me and send me home.
Initially, there were only May Ann, Hanah and I governing the floor. Mhars was the MOD that night. Hanah and I panicked because there were simply too little of us handling constant flocks of guests. But when Nabz came down, our workloads were lightened.
Guess what? I did my first birthday rap!
Woohooooo..
I didn't really screw up, I suppose. Just that I have been told my voice could have been louder. It's all right, I will have my second shot at it.
Farhan, Nadz and Khai came down for closing. Farhan was a dear because he really mean it when he said he'll help me with closing. Most importantly, he scrubbed the floor for me. I do feel bad about it because till now, he's the only one who returned me this favour. I mean, I wouldn't mind taking over shifts without anything in return.
Now, for my bike ride experience.
IT WAS DEFINITELY A BLAST! It was my first time on a bike and I simply had a wonderful time. In all honesty, I was a little nervous for the first few seconds on Farhan's bike, but it died down when I get the thrill, really. For once, I was hoping I am living in Woodlands. Haha.
04 February 2009, Wednesday:
As for today, we had only two apparent people on the floor. Nadz was doing bar, while I was being deployed as greeter and station B master. But since Charie was the MOD, she said I had to do everything-bar runner, runner, station A and B, greeter. Can you imagine how tensed I got? Fortunately, the crowd didn't come in all at once. So Nadz and Charie were able to help me out many of a time. Whenever there were hot beverages or guests I don't feel like sitting them in, I would look at Nadz and he'll just cover for me. Haha. It may have been draggy and mundane, but Nadz and Charie made it more fun. Not forgetting, Khai, who amused me with his basic Mandarin.
My beloved Nabz and Lyn came down too! We had so many hysterical moments. Aww(:
I love you, ladies.
(It hurts.)
